Board of Directors

Chuck Dietrick – Chairman of the Board

Mr. Dietrick is responsible for sourcing, researching, evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring venture capital opportunities primarily in the technology sector. His primary area of focus is enterprise software, services, and infrastructure. He is a current director of LogicLibrary, Carnegie Speech, the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association, and Be Here Corporation, and a past director of Optinel Systems. Mr. Dietrick has over 22 years experience in software development; enterprise systems architecture, integration, and consulting; and software and professional services executive management. Mr. Dietrick spent a significant portion of his career at Microsoft, where he held a number of senior technical and managerial positions, including: growing and managing a multi-hundred million dollar field sales, marketing, and consulting business; directing a global alliances organization; and managing the worldwide enterprise services group. During his tenure with Microsoft, Mr. Dietrick was recognized as the top manager in North America and the top engineer in the eastern region. Prior to joining Microsoft, he held system architect, developer, and/or development management positions with Electronic Data Systems, Bank of Boston, and Logica Data Architects. Mr. Dietrick is also the former President and CEO of a Silicon Valley-based alerting and notification ASP. He holds a B.S. in Business/Economics from the Pennsylvania State University and a Masters Degree with a concentration in Quantitative Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University.

Gary Glausser – Director

Birchmere Ventures Partner

Mr. Glausser is responsible for sourcing, researching, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, monitoring, and exiting investments. He is currently a director of Advanced Software Applications, Precision Therapeutics, and Renal Solutions, and has over 25 years of experience in financial management, investing, lending, and public accounting.  He began his career at Price Waterhouse where he provided audit and consulting services to middle-market companies in a variety of industries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Glausser spent five years with Westinghouse Credit Corporation where he held various positions in lending, investing, and controller capacities. He was a deal maker leading investments in excess of $200 million in a number of later-stage company financings. Later he became VP/Controller for various investment portfolios totaling in excess of $5 billion. Prior to that, he was with Joy Technologies, Inc., a mining equipment manufacturing firm with revenues of $600 million, where he was responsible for analysis of potential merger acquisition candidates, consolidation of financial results, SEC reporting, maintenance of corporate policies and procedures. Mr. Glausser holds a B.S. from John Carroll University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Stephen Von Rump – Director and CEO

With extensive experience in a range of general management, operations and marketing positions, Mr. Von Rump leads the Be Here Corporation drive to revenue growth and profitability. Prior to his position at Be Here, Von Rump was the CEO of Metreos Corporation, a provider of VoIP software for enterprises and recipient of the Cisco “Innovation through Convergence” (ITC) Best of Show award. Previously, he was CEO of VTEL, a major provider of video conferencing systems and services. He was also vice president of MCI’s data and Internet services business, co-founding internetMCI, and building, what was then, the largest Internet backbone in the world. He holds an M.S.E.E. from Washington University.
